well the new academy award nominations are in: the passion of the christ gets 3 nod's 1 for best CINEMATOGRAPHY, 1 for best MAKEUP, and 1 for best MUSIC (SCORE)! what is up with that i really felt that Jim Cavizeil did a great job as jesus i mean give me a break! the movie that seems to have swallowed up the most awards were RAY, the aviator, and closer oh and eternals sunshine of the spotless mind!!!! one good thing is that farenhieht 9/11 was not nominated so we won't get to hear another micheal moore shame on you bush speach! and with out lord of the ring's it seems like more indie's were nominated this year! and if you need to know jamie foxx was nominated twice one for collateral and one for Ray! im just hoping for johnny depp to win best acter this year for playing JM Berrie in finding neverland which from what i hear he did a good job in that movie! well if you ask me it seem's like passion of the christ was not a favorate of the film industry even though it got the artistic story a rave reviews of crtics to make at least three nod's and farenhieht 9/11 got nothing interesting a right wing movie get's nominated while a libral movie gets the boot by a group of librals! if bush would have lost to kerry the movie would have gotten a nod but nope1 bush stays in office and moore wishes he never made that movie!!!!! if you want to check out the nominee's go to http://oscar.com/nominees/nominees.html ! and until the show starts cross your finger's

ok im still shiveriing from this movie!!! the grudge is a movie based on a movie from japan called ju-on grudge (the full movie title) it was directed by the same guy who directed the one in japan but this one was produced by Sam Raimi and bob tapert (of spider-man and army of darkness fame) in fact sam's brother has a role in this movie! it stars bill pulman (Independence Day) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Iknow What You Did Last Summer, Scobby Doo 1and 2, TV's Buffy the vampire slayer)! Well to understand the premese of the movie you need to look at what is beleved behind the movie! Everytime someone Dies in a state of fear a curse is born and the curse stays were the death occured and anyone that enters the place of death will be cursed themselves (which is japanesse legend)! well when the movie starts we meet an exchange student from america (gellar) who gets asked to watch this older lady who according to the movie is a paronoid skitsophrenic who is being cared for by her son and daughter in law! Well as the movie continues we see different flash backs of what is happining (like what they do in anime sometimes) from this ladys children to a proffesser (Pulman) who has to find out about a student that live's at the house! well as the story continues you see why this curse was caused and what revolved around it!This movie looked like a horror version of lost in translation because of where the movie was filmed and how the american character's associated themselves with the Japanesse character's! i think Sarah Michelle Gellar was good in this movie she was very convincing as the character she played even though some people who still assosiate her with buffy may not like it that she has no karate moves in this movie! pulman does a good job with what he's given (30 mins of the movie) but it just makes it a liitle dumb to give him that much!!! when i saw the movie it looked a little like another movie "cough" the ring"cough" and it seemed a little weird to me! i give this movie a yellow light due to the fact that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be and it did scare me a little (if it didn't scare me i would of gaven it a red light but because i was shivering ill give it a yellow light)! i feel i need to state somethings because of people (Tech fans and Gamers!) seem to not like the new G4 concept! first it comes to chi lan i admit she has some problems as a host which is true but the tech fans treat her like she a G4 host when we all know she worked at the tech tv news dept just like my fav reporter brenden moran (who also with chi lan moved to LA) i personally think she should stay on but in the nook but also chat in the chat rooom with out backlash! next what i have to say is about cheat! I like the show now its not as stupid as it was before! Cory (i hope i dont make the fanboys mad at this statement) had a annoying joke problem that screwed the show up royal and it was to fast for the cheats! now it has that tech tv feel to it but without the tech! if you need to know i felt kristen holt (the host that everyone thinks is the networks idea of "eye candy") did a real good job of hosting she was understandable and the show was more serious than cory's i did so and so thanks to cheating (which the cory fans call coryisums) if you cory fans need to know he was the reason the tech fans freaked just like another host "cough"rossi morrelli"cough" and another show known as players! my other feeling's are that i have knowtest a lot of tech tv peeps are doing background stuff for G4 shows and G4 peeps are doing background stuff for tech tv shows like everyone hoped for! avi adir the TSS guy does stuff for cheat and filter! tina wood writes for x-play! the lab rats actually get to write stuff for filter! and morganis a segment producer on G4tv.com! so now all i need to say to the flamers and angery viewers out there is what william shattner said on S.N.L. during the famous Star Trek convention skit "WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE JUST GET A LIFE!"

So of course G4 would want that demographic. ALSO... the 18 to 35 year old demographic is also the most highly sought after demographic of every major entertainment, food & car company in the world. They are the people with the most cash to spend (this is why you see them all advertising on G4 now). Maybe you need to take some marketing and PR classes before making ignorant comments like "The 13 to 34 male demographic, you say??? For God's sake, that's the same demographic that watches crap like SpikeTV. You're actually proud to be part of a channel that caters to THAT crowd?" Then you go on to say that you found Tech TV interesting. Great! That's cool. I'm happy for ya. Now it's different. So if you don't like the new station... don't watch it. "the people who run G4 are the same ones who got a bunch of TechTV employees to move all the way to LA from San Fransico, only to fire them without warning a few months later. This was their evil plan the entire time!! Get your facts straight! People were asked to move down. They could if they wanted to... it was their choice with no guarantee. It was an option that was better than just firing them up in San Fran and leaving them high and dry. Some made the choice and it didn't work out... at least they had a choice. You are trying to make it sound like G4 intentionally brought people to LA (which they paid to move them) and then fired them just to be mean. Get REAL!! Next you're gonna tell me that OJ was set up too! Then you say... "It's obvious that G4 is poorly run. I mean, I, myself, am a HUGE gamer...and I STILL think G4 sucks." Hmm.... Yet you still watch and you still come to the message boards frequently to post. That's kinda funny don't ya think?! There are hundreds of stations on t.v. yet you chose THIS ONE to keep posting on.
